Day Twenty-four: St. Paul, MN

Hanging out with children: priceless!
Tonight we were treated to smoked duckling a la` Bob Anderson.
Skin pierced, put upright on chicken stand in drip pan on grill. Smoke 3 hours with hickory chips in a smoker. Delicious!
Jim’s daughter, Sara, makes a truly wonderful risotto. To onions, asparagus, and mushrooms sautéed, add 2 cups vegetable stock & 1 cup milk and a package of Trader Joe’s risotto mix. At the end, add parmesan-reggiano, chives, and pine nuts. Glorious!
Truly awesome, especially for someone who has never eaten duck!
