Day Eleven: Newport, Tn. to Lawrenceburg, Ky.

What started as a horrific trip through lightning and thunder (I will try to post the video) became idyllic.
We traveled north on the 75 from Newport, Tennessee. We then went west on the 60 in Kentucky, which took us to Lexington, an amazingly beautiful city with old buildings and horse farms.
And then slightly north again on the 127. Guess where we’re going tomorrow: The Four Roses Bourbon Distillery. We are also staying for a few days to let Jim recover from the crazy storms on the highways. I would SO like 1/1000 of all that rain displaced to fall on California!
