Day 17: Wichita, Kansas

We found the 70 west in Missouri, and stayed on it until the 335 south and the 35 in Topeka, Kansas. Jim figured out that on Day 15 our 6 year-old Miata had gone 80,000 miles. We celebrated the turning over of the odometer. Jim’s cousin Carolyn made first contact and found us numbers for motels in Wichita. We enjoyed a lovely supper at her condo, and meeting her daughter, grandson, and great-grandson.

Jim’s Cousin, Carolyn. She made us a home-cooked meal, too!

Love the Kansas farms!

Jim’s cousin Caren Sue & hubby…

Cassie the Wonder Dog!

The house that Jim’s Grandma & Grandpa Dreiling owned in Wichita. Thanks, everyone in Kansas: I am so glad I got to meet you all!
