Day 9: Big D-tour to Devil’s Kettle

We traversed the 61 north almost to the Canadian Border. The entire day trip was alongside the Lake Superior, which was, coincidently, superior to all the great lakes we have seen so far.

Passed by a small Scandanavian Cemetery in Two Harbors on Route 61…

Along the trail to Devil’s Kettle way up by the Canadian Border…cow parsnips.

Horsetail (Psillium)…

Devil’s Track River

Devil’s Kettle Falls

Tiny, bright yellow lupines.
