Day 4: Medford, Oregon to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

Slightly foggy and misty started our day as we left Medford, Oregon, and continued up the I – 5. We passed through the Rogue River Valley, where my dad used to take Mom and me camping every summer. When we got to Portland, we needed a slight detour to investigate the Columbia River Gorge and its environs. So we went right! East, that is, on the 84. Salem, Oregon, is on the 45th parellel: half-way between the North Pole and the Equator.

Ferns…

Foxgloves…

Fuschias growing wild! Oregon is SO lush, green, and verdant.

The Columbia River.

Yarrow.

 Pink clover…

Cinquefoil.

Cute B & B at Multnomah Falls.

Mr. Miata and 653 miles, again.

Eastern Oregon is so very different from western! Dry and parched.
