Day Eleven: Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Colo.

Our roadtrip this time focuses on Canyons, Craters, and Caves. Today we saw a huge canyon called The Royal Gorge, we also saw The Black Canyon of the Gunnison, survived a torrential lightening and thunder storm, and traveled to 11,019 feet through mining country of Colorado State, and we were close to Glacial Ice.

The water in the lakes here, was very black. The sky was black, the canyon was black.

Finally grabbed a picture of Asters!

Rain was so hard that, at times, we couldn’t see the road. Water falls were everywhere, and ice from glaciers was at eye-level.
