Day Four: Arcata to La Pine, Oregon

We made it to Majestic Crater Lake

A wonderful drive through the lush redwood forests above Arcata: foxgloves, periwinkle-blue flax. pink and white wild sweetpeas, and myriad black-spotted orange tiger lilies! A fantastic time of year to be driving up to Oregon. It has been 41 years since I have driven through.

Traffic Jam...As far as the eye can see!

Part sharpei, dingo, and chow.

What an amazing place!

Snow drifts taller than the car.
