Day Nine: St. Paul to Manitowac to Luddington

The Dock at Manitowac

We have just embarked on the S.S. Badger from Manitowac, Wisconsin, to Luddington, Michigan.  We are listening to an M.C. playing the polka and telling us not to dance on the tables.  This carferry has our Miata in its hold.  Someone has made up a song to the music that sings “A four-hour cruise”.  We are sailing across Lake Michigan to visit Meaghan and Tristan, Kai, Brandon, Adam, Gil and all the other grandchildren I don’t have room to print here.  Bloody Marys and good times are in store for the next four hours!
